Register for Self Study
CCR&Rs ready to begin the Quality Assurance process start by submitting a NQA Self Study Enrollment Form ( 78.56 KB ). This form may be submitted at anytime. The $600 fee for Self Study must accompany the registration form. Upon receipt,Child Care Aware® of America will provide the CCR&R with the Self-Assessment Guide and Scoring Sheet, access to resources on Best Practices for CCR&Rs and schedule the CCR&R for access to online, recorded trainings. Enrollees have access to all Self Study resources for 12 months.
Apply for Quality Assurance
At this time, Child Care Aware® of America is not accepting applications for the Quality Assurance program. Instead, Child Care Aware® of America will spend fiscal 2013 considering how best to adapt the current program processes and procedures, drawing on the feedback and experience of state and local CCR&Rs who have achieved Quality Assurance. Child Care Aware® of America plans to launch a redesign of Quality Assurance in fiscal year 2014.
In the meantime, the Best Practices for CCR&Rs and State Network continue to provide the framework for agencies striving toward continuous quality assurance. Child Care Aware® of America is committed to sustaining the value of the Quality Assurance validation program. For those who have been validated and others who are in the program, Quality Assurance validation remains a strong indicator an agency is meeting best practices.
Costs and Incentives
Child Care Aware® of America has made every effort to keep the costs to operate Quality Assurance to a minimum, but costs to administer a program of this caliber and magnitude are considerable. These costs must be passed on to applicants in the form of fees.
Please note that the registration fee for Self Study and the Application fee are nonrefundable.
The cost for CCR&Rs to become validated under Quality Assurance will vary considerably, depending on the number of service areas offered by a particular agency. A CCR&R applying on its own will pay up a minimum of $6,750 if it offers services to only one consumer group. The maximum fee for Quality Assurance for a CCR&R offering services in three of the service areas is $9,950.
