Building a Bridge Between Health Care Professionals and Resource and Referral Agencies

February 25, 2013

This webinar explored ways CCR&Rs can support pediatricians in delivering essential child care information to families in their care. Pediatricians can provide an important point of contact in supporting families in choosing quality child care. In a recent survey of pediatric professionals, 73 percent felt it important to discuss child care issues with families; however, 43.6 percent never give out information regarding child care. CCR&Rs can provide the vital community link that connects the dots for all.

Presenters:
Dina Lieser, MD, FAAP

Spring Outlook: Early Learning & Budget Update (February 15, 2013)

Early Learning & Budget Update:  In the wake of the President’s State of the Union speech calling for preschool for all 4-year-old children and his visit on Thursday to a pre-kindergarten program in Georgia, there’s a lot of talk in Washington about early education. It’s an exciting time and an opportunity for us as a field to help shape a birth to five framework.  At the same time, there are important budget related dates in the near future. Join us for a webinar to share what we’ve learned, how we can engage in building a new early learning framework, and respond to any questions you may have about upcoming budget dates and actions.
